Making a difference one donation at a time.

The Johnson County Foster Closet is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to serving foster families in Johnson County, Indiana.

How it works:

When a child is placed in a new foster home their foster parents can contact us and let us know what items are needed. We can then put together a care package for that child from the donations we have on hand or send out a donation request for a specific need. We will then coordinate a pick up time with the family or schedule a time to drop the package off at their home.

Our Current Donation needs:

We can not provide our services without your help. Please consider donating gently used or new items to our closet to help us support local children in need.

Our Partners:

It really does take a village to care for all the children in our community. It is our duty as a community to let these children know they are not forgotten and they are cared about. We are so thankful to our partners who are helping us make this closet a reality.

Are you interested in volunteering? We have plenty of things to do. Sorting clothing by size, removing hangers, organizing our storage unit, making sure toys work, and putting together donation packages are just a few of the things we need help with.

How you can help:

Tripping over unused toys? Do you have piles of gently used clothing that no longer fit your child? We can put them to good use in our community.

Did you know there are currently over 9,000 children in foster care in Indiana alone? Please join us in our efforts to help care for these children among the chaos in their lives.

Every kid is one caring adult away from being a success story.
